Mrs. Cora B. Scott, 65, Rt. 5, died at midnight Wednesday in Culver Hospital. She had been a patient there since Dec. 22. She was born May 29, 1893, in Oakwood, Ill., the daughter of James D. and Carrie Foster Bean. She married Warren Scott in 1912, in Iowa. He died in 1936. Mrs. Scott had farmed in Iowa and Illinois before moving to near New Richmond in 1918. She also had lived near Wingate. She was a member of the New Richmond Christian Church. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth of Hammond, Gail of Crawfordsville and Darrell Scott of Idaville; four daughters, Mrs. William Caldwell, Mrs. Charles Hobbs, Mrs. Max Thompson and Mrs. Carrie Wilson, all of Crawfordsville; a brother, Theodore F. Bean of Calumet City; 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a son, Stancil Scott, who died in 1952. Funeral rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Bennett Fulp, pastor of EUB Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
